Dear Kyle,
Christmas is growing near and we will be so happy to celebrate as a family again this year. This will be your 2nd Christmas and you will likely have fun with your brothers and cousins as you watch them rip open their presents!
Your favorite gift so far this season has been the red barn that actually used to belong to your brothers but had been put away at Grandma & Grandpa's house.
You are a very wonderful boy and Christmas-time is a special reminder of how thankful we are to have such wonderful sons. You are truly a blessing to us and our family. We love you. xoxo Mom & Dad

Hello sweet Kyle! I am actually posting from my iPod; you are asleep in your crib, but I was just in there rocking you. I think you might be getting a tooth. Hard to explain but I can sense it. Anyway, you are seriously the cutest thing EvER, so I just wanted to say "hi". I think you are waking up again, which isn't so cute. Gotta go.

Hello from Las Vegas Kyle!

Hello Kyle, how are you? We are writing to you from Las Vegas. Today is our last full day here. Your Dad plays pool here in about 45 minutes. He has been doing really well, so hopefully his winning streak will keep up tonight. We had a good day today and did some sight-seeing around Red Rock Canyon. Yesterday we went to the Hoover Damn, which apparently provides power and water for Las Vegas and surrounding areas. Anyway, I will post a few pictures here, even though you aren't really old enough to enjoy looking at them yet. Someday you can look back and know that we were always thinking about you!

Dear Kyle,

Hello sweet Kyle! How are you? We miss you very much. We have never been away from all 3 of you for this long. We are having fun in Las Vegas. Your Daddy is playing pool here and did very well last night. He won all 3 out of the 3 games that he played. The people he played were from Kentucky, Florida and Seattle. Pretty neat, isn't it?

Right now you are at home with your brothers. Your Grandma and Grandpa Schafer are taking care of you. We are sure you are having a good time with them. We miss you very much. You are such a cute and happy toddler. You are mischevious and inquisitive and lots of fun to have in our family. When you came along last June you made our family complete and we were so glad to have another little boy to love -- We really could not have asked for more than the blessing that you are to us.

We both miss you and we have been talking about how fun you have been lately as you start to enjoy books and toys. Your favorite books are ones that have pictures of real animals such as dogs and farm animals. You love those and you enjoy making some of the animal sounds.

Well, I'd better go now. We are about to go check out Redrock Canyon or the Hoover Damn.
